First, let me preface by saying that I'm an introvert. I prefer staying behind the keyboard and monitor, so signing up to be an exhibitor was way outside my comfort zone. That said, my table-mate and extroverted new friend, Nooce Miller, made my experience at the utopYA 2015 conference much easier and enjoyable.
I met a lot of other indie authors, book bloggers, graphic artists, book cover models, and even a book trailer producer. Who even knew such a thing even existed? Everyone was super friendly and supportive of one another. Authors represented a whole spectrum of genres, such as steam punk, fantasy, paranormal, dystopian, erotica, and literary young adult (that's me). I came away with lots of cool table ideas for Rocket City Lit Fest this fall. I can't wait!
